Manager of Digital Media Planning

If you can't stop tweeting, blogging or sharing life online, we want to talk to you. BarkleyREI is on the hunt for an online marketing and social media manager for our Pittsburgh office.

The ideal candidate is an energetic, creative leader capable of multi-tasking and possesses excellent editorial and business acumen. He/she has a keen ability to able to follow and translate digital media trends into actionable, measurable solutions for our clients. The candidate should be skilled in MRI, IMS, Neilsen and ComScore systems.

This is a great opportunity to polish client relationship skills, learn to utilize media and marketing tools to create effective marketing plans and work in a creatively driven environment with a healthy balance between family, fun and financials.

Responsibilities include:

  • Interactive Media Planning/Buying
  • Confers with media leaders, clients, and/or client service to establish objectives and strategies that satisfy client’s marketing objectives.
  • Evaluates content, coverage, ad positioning, rates and audience composition of all relevant media vehicles to determine those that will most effectively reach target audiences.
  • Studies demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for online advertising.
  • Gathers research data and prepares media plan, flow charts and directives to guide buying process.
  • Presents media plans to media leaders, client services, and/or client for approval and makes adjustments as necessary.
  • Negotiates and documents rates, completes buys, and serves as contact for publishers.
  • Assists team in implementing plan with ad specifications, tracking codes, analytics integration, and other assistance as needed.
  • Implements or assists with search marketing campaigns, including keyword research and ad development
  • Monitors, maintains and optimizes all online media campaigns
  • Provides reports based on campaign goals and objectives and is responsible for post-campaign results and analysis.
  • Maintains thorough and accurate financial records according to company practices

Social Media

  • Create comprehensive social media strategies that help our clients effectively grow and leverage their social media presence
  • Manage day-to-day social media programs on behalf of our clients, which may include listening, participating, and consulting with clients on engagement tactics
  • Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities
  • Monitor trends in social media tools and applications to appropriately apply knowledge to increasing the use of social media among company’s roster of clients
  • Collaborate with and educate others across the company on incorporating relevant social media techniques into the company’s and our clients’ culture and products and services
  • Collaborate with clients and internal team members to develop clear business and measurement objectives for each initiative.
  • Measure the impact of social media on the overall marketing efforts

Other

  • Assist with email marketing, SEO campaigns, and other online marketing initiatives as needed
  • Occasional travel to support clients

Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience in online media planning, buying, execution and analysis
  • Experience with listening and engagement tools such as Radian6, Buzzmetrics, ScoutLabs
  • Deep knowledge of all social platforms, strategies and models
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience with web and advertising analytics packages - Omniture, Webtrends, Google Analytics, DART & Atlas
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, any programming experience a plus
  • SEM/SEO experience a plus
